Clever grit handling
In the grit trap, sand and heavier particles sink to the bottom and are thus separated from wastewater. The sand is transported to a sand washer for washing and dewatering. Street sand, filter sand and similar dry material can also be handled by Hydra Water’s sand washer. The organic material is then usually transported to the next step in mechanical treatment: pre-sedimentation.
Hydria Water offers both a sand washer and a sand classifier. We also have a grit trap scraper and machines suitable for use in combi units.
